Born May 8th, 1966 in Mannheim, Germany.
Lives and works in Mérida, Yucatán, México since 1994.
After having completed High School (specialized in Art and Design)
Stefanie studies graphic design at the school for Higher Education
in Wiesbaden, Germany.
During her studies her artistic talent and her passion for painting, drawing
and illustration become evident.
After having graduated as a Graphic Designer, Stafanie continues studying fashion design at the school for Higher Education in Hamburg, renowned for its high standards and excellence in fine art teaching
During and after her studies, Stefanie exhibits individually and collectively, aswell as working free lance for an advertising agency in Mainz, Germany.
Her first trip to Mexico in 1993 motivates her to return the following year and to
establish herself as a designer, illustrator and painter.
In 1994, she exhibits her new work, resulting from her Mexican experiences, together with two ceramicists in Mérida, Yucatán.Since then, she has had several individual exhibitions, aswell as over 60
group shows in Mexico and abroad.
She has also worked extensively as a mural designer and painter for hotels and
Since 1999, she is teaching fine art and drawing at the Mayab University of Mérida, aswell as giving private classes.
In 2005, she illustrates her first children’s book ‘A Lucas todo le sale mal’
written by Maria Luisa Puga and published by the ‘Fondo de Cultura Económica’ based in México City.
